Mid Century Makeover

This tired 1970’s farmhouse was given a new lease on life

The project involved a complete strip out of the interior with alterations made to the bedroom wing.  Space was reclaimed from an oversized dining room to provide an internal laundry and storage to maximise the useable floor space.

The exterior rear vernada was rebuilt as the existing posts and structure were well past their use by date. New joinery was installed throughout and most of the old block arches were removed.  The existing roof was refinished and the exterior blockwork was bagged to give it lift.

As part of the scope, extensive drainage and landscaping was completed including a fishpond to the entry.

The finished home is now a real gem with its nod to yesterday’s charm and all the modern amenities.
